Automatic pirn changer mounting on loom

Automatic pirn changing for one or more shuttles (11') on a loom is carried out by a pirn changer (14') which also splices the yarn. The pirn changing position (19) is at a point (N3) above the shuttle path (N1) and pref. partly above the cloth and warp. The pirn changer (14') performs its actions above the cloth/warp and pref. partly within the cloth/warp edge.
