Process and assembly to agitate fan-folded gas filters

A gas filter (28a) removes solid particles by means of fan-fold or wavy-surfaced filter panels (F) which are cleaned from time to time. The novelty is that some or all of the filter panels are cleaned as required by direct mechanical agitation and shaking. The filters are agitated or shaken in sequence by a mechanical assembly which is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the folds or waves.
