The apparatus comprises sludge tank(1) to store sludge ; polymer flocculant tank(3) to store the flocculant which is mixed with sludge ; sludge pump(2) and polymer flocculant pump(4) to transport sludge and polymer flocculant to mixing tank(5) ; belt press(8) to dewater flocculated sludge introduced from the mixing tank(5) ; and belt conveyor(9) to transport dewatered sludge cake from the belt press to a waste disposal site. The belt press is composed of gravity dewatering part(13) with vibrating part(15) for first dewatering by applying vibration to the belt(14) and multiple press rolls (AB,CD,EF) of different sizes for second dewatering.
