a user input unit for inputting a subcode; a control unit for sensing the input of the subcode to generate a data selection signal; a converting unit for converting an analog voice signal into digital voice data; a latch unit for selectively latching one of the digital voice data from the converting unit and digital voice data outputted from external equipments in response to the data selection signal; a memory for storing the latched digital voice data; an error correcting code unit for coding the data stored in the memory; a modulating unit for generating a synchronous signal under a predetermined control and for modulating the subcode inputted to 8→10 data; and a data generating unit for non-return-to-zero inverted modulating the 8→10 data to generate data to be recorded in a digital audio tape recorder.
