Sealing bearing for movable rod or shaft

The bearing has a bearing bush (3) for the rod or shaft (1) also acting as a sealing bush. This bush has a one piece moulded sealing lip (5,6) at one or both axial ends. Since the wall thickness of the sealing lips is relatively small, they are flexible.The sealing lips are pressed up radially inwards by a radial pre-stressed O-ring seal (7,8) outside them, onto the rod or shaft. A two-piece housing (9) has a groove (10) in it to take the bearing zone (4) or the bearing and sealing ring. Each O-ring is fitted in an annular space (11,12) from which a slot opens outwards.
