PURPOSE:To obtain a non-oriented electrical steel sheet with superior magnetic characteristics by holding a continuous-cast hot slab in a fixed temp. range and reheating it after which the reheated slab is hot rolled to allow AIN to precipitate and cohere. CONSTITUTION:A slab is continuous-cast consisting of, by wt, C<=0.06%, Si; 1- 4%, acid sol. Al<=2.5%, and the balance iron and inevitable impurities. This hot slab is held at 800-1,050 deg.C both on the surface and in the center for more than 40min to allow AIN to precipitate and cohere well. The slab is then soaked at 900-1,100 deg.C for about 30min and hot rolled to control the telescope quantity to 20mm. or below. Thus, a decrease in pickling yield due to the occurrence of telescope can be prevented and superior magnetic characteristics can be obtd. |
