Card edge connector with ejection mechanism

A card-edge connector 10 used for making electrical connection between a mother board and a card 200, has an ejection mechanism 15 which is operated to eject the card from the connector. The card 200 is inserted between the guide posts 13a, 13b. The card-ejection mechanism 15 is mounted in one of the guide posts 13a and comprises a push bar 31 and a cam member 32. The push bar 31 is movable rectilinearly inside the guide post 13a to release the card 200 with the cam member 32 transforming the movement of the push bar 31 into rotational movement, resulting in the application of an ejection force to a corner of the card 200.
