PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a defective article by performing a marking so that the mark is always detected even in whatever area, in case of optionally setting the area equivalent to the specific % of the whole outer periphery of a wire rod. CONSTITUTION:A wire drawing material 10 is pulled out of a roller 12 with the tension of a roller 14 and wound on a roll 22 by being drawn the inside of wire drawing dies 16, 18 and 20. In this case, a flaw detection device 24 by an eddy current examination, etc. is set up between a die 18 and 20, a marking device 26 is arranged as well between the dies 20 and 22 and the detection of the surface flaw of the wire drawing material 10 and marking are performed. The device 26 equips a pair of nozzles 28, 30 spraying a paint and a mark 32 is executed in the range of about 75% of the wire drawing material 10. Even therefore the area equivalent to 40% of the whole outer periphery of the wire drawing material 10 is set optionally in continuation the mark 32 exists always and the detection of flaws is ensured, so the defect of a product blank 38 is securely prevented. |
