An organic material composting bin (1) has a liq. draining valve (7) mounted near the base of the bin (1). Pref. the bin (1) is a standard wheeled dustbin or waste bin and the draining valve (7) is fitted in the lower part of the bin. The bin has a grille (4) mounted above its base to support compost material; ventilation orifices (6) below the level of the grille and in the lid (10).
