The banderilla is formed by two parts 1 and 2 coupled together axially, the part 1 being that which is equipped with the corresponding fixing harpoon 3, whilst the part 2 can be separated from the first when it is applied to the fighting bull, both parts being joined together by means of a cylindrical axial part 5 which emerges from the section or part 1 and a sleeve 8 provided in the facing end of the part or section 2, there being an inner spring 7 which, at the time of application and release of the anchorage between both parts 1 and 2, produces the impulse for the part 2 to separate the parts, leaving the banderilla only with the part 1 and the corresponding cardboard cover with its respective adornment, as if this were a conventional banderilla, but without the rigid part 2 which has been released to avoid not only accidents through impact with the actual bullfighter but also the detachment of the banderilla from the bull, by virtue of the reduction in weight arising from the separation of the section or part 2 of said banderilla. <IMAGE>
