PURPOSE:To adjust luminance of display device according to the gradation data only by imparting the gradation data from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A reference clock is inputted to an LED control signal generation circuit 1, and a latch signal outputting one pulse at every time when LXn (L is the number of lines, n is the number of connection of light emitting element panels) pieces are counted and a reset signal outputting one pulse at every time when L pieces of the latch signals are counted, are generated, and the latch signal, the reset signal and the gradation data (m) are inputted to a mask pulse generation circuit 2, and a mask pulse MP masking the data according to the gradation data is generated. Then, the mask pulse MP and the data are inputted to a mask circuit 3, and the mask data MD masked by the mask pulse is outputted, and the reference clock CLK, the latch signal LA, the reset signal RE and the mask data MD are inputted, and respective lines of the light emitting element panel 4 displaying the mask data MD controlled by the reference clock CLK, the latch signal LA and the reset signal RE are lighted by m times among L times.
