PURPOSE:To prevent outdoor air from entering through the gap between a frame member and a contact glass and further, the degradation of an image and the increase of the consumption of toner by interposing a sealing member between the contact glass and the frame member into which it, is fitted. CONSTITUTION:A sealing casing is composed of a case 11 provided with a window for exposing 3 on the top surface, the contact glass 12 fitted to the case 11 so as to close the window for exposing 3 and a rectangular frame like sealing member 13 interposed between the case 11 and the peripheral part of the rear surface of the contact glass 12. The case 11 is constituted of a rectangular parallelepiped case main body 51 having the opened top surface and a cover 52 provided with the window for exposing 3. A slit 54 for guiding light from a lens unit to a photoreceptor drum is formed on the bottom surface of the case main body 51 and hermetically sealed by a glass plate. Thus, the sealing member 13 is interposed to improve the property of sealing between the contact glass 12 and the frame member to which it is fitted. |
