PURPOSE:To provide a light emitting element wherein the uniformity of the light emission in its light emitting surface is excellent and the intensity of its light emission can be augmented. CONSTITUTION:By the anodic electrolytic polishing of a silicon substrate, a light-emitting electrolytic polishing silicon 13 having a mirror-surface is made, and thereon, muc-Si 14 is deposited, and thereby, a p-n junction is formed between the light-emitting electrolytic polishing silicon 13 and the muc-Si 14. Since the p-n junction surface present between the light-emitting electrolytic polishing silicon 13 and the muc-Si 14 has a good uniformity, the light emitting element which emits a light uniformly over its whole junction surface can be created. |
