PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of commodity registering work independently of increment/decrement in the number of commodity items and to eliminate the necessity of file maintenace work by executing the registration processing of commodity sale/ data and output processing for the name, price, etc., of each selling commodity based upon commodity data included in a two-dimensional (2D) data code including a commodity identification code, a selling price and a commodity name. CONSTITUTION:In a commodity sale registration data processor such as a POS terminal, a 2D data code including commodity data such as a unit article code, a commodity name written by KANA (Japanese syllabary) characters and KANJIs (Chinese characters), a section code, a selling price, cost, and a production date is stuck to each commodity. When the 2D data code is read out by a 2D data code reader 12 at the time of selling the commodity, data included in the 2D data code and necessary for commodity registration are developed in a data code developing area, data in the area are referred and section sale registration processing, selling price adding processing, display of registered commodity information, and the printing processing of a receipt and a journal are executed. |
