PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material for aqueous ink capable of forming an ink receiving layer good in ink absorbability and ink fixing properties, generating no blur and good in transparency and water resistance. CONSTITUTION:A recording material for aqueous ink is obtained by providing an ink receiving layer composed of a mixture of a watersoluble modified polyvinyl alcohol resin having at least one kind of a hydrophilic group selected from- SO3M and-OSO3M (wherein M is hydrogen, lithium, sodium or potassium) and a water-soluble modified polyvinyl acetal resin having a hydrophilic group- COOM on a support such as a plastic sheet or paper. |
