PURPOSE:To reconstruct a network by restoring a logical path connecting between electronic equipments on one network. CONSTITUTION:Reception-only ports, transmission-only ports, and transmission/ reception ports, which a keyboard 1, a sound source 1, a sound source 2, a sound source 3, a sequencer 2, and a mixer 3 are respectively equipped with, are connected by logical paths L1-L10. The logical paths are virtual transmission lines and constituted by giving a group address to sent data at a transmission port and broadcasting the data, and receiving the data at the reception port where the group address is set. Once a user set the logical paths constituting the network, information on the logical paths is received in reception ports, and when the network is powered on or reset, the original logical paths can automatically be reconstructed on the network. |
