<p>PURPOSE:To improve the continuity of a reproduced picture by not only reproducing an I frame signal but also a P frame signal at the time of special reproducing. CONSTITUTION:With respect to the preprocessing where picture data is divided into plural blocks and block data subjected to inter-frame compression or intra- frame compression are sent to a decoder 17, the frame number of each block data to be sent to the decoder 17 is monitored by a continuity discrimination table 16. If block data is subjected to intra-frame compression, block data is sent to the decoder 17 as it is by a selector and control part 15; but if block data to be subjected to inter-frame compression is inputted, only block data having a continuity are sent to the decoder 17 by the part 15.</p> |
