PURPOSE:To provide an optical communication equipment which is economical, good in operability, and high in safety, and also mounted which optical components by performing the surplus processing of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber holding component 6 is provided separately from a unit 1d, and after the excessive-length part 8b of the optical fiber is stored and held while a bending diameter larger than a specific diameter is secured with a clamp 7, this holding component 6 is inserted into the unit 1d through an opening part 4b formed in a panel 4. Further, the surplus part of the optical fiber and the optical component are fitted to a convection guide part and mount on a package, which is inserted into the unit 1d. Thus, the optical fiber surplus part 8b and optical component are mounted in the unit, so the need to install dedicated facilities is eliminated and the economical optical communication device is obtained. Further, the bending diameter of the optical fiber is secured and the device is so structured that the device is hardly touched by people and bodies, so the optical fiber surplus processing which is superior in operability and safety providing prevention against accidents such as an open circuit can be performed, and the reliability of communication facilities are improved. |
