PURPOSE:To perform temperature control and to detect abnormality such as the winding of recording paper by providing only one temperature detecting means for a roller for thermal fixing and detecting temperature by one temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a selection means selecting the level of the temperature by detecting the temperature of the fixing roller for heating 231 at the time of starting warm-up and a comparison means comparing whether the temperature of the roller 231 measured by the temperature detecting means rises to specified temperature in fixed time after starting 1st timer means when the power source of a heat source is inputted, and also provided with a control means outputting an abnormality signal when the compared result by the comparison means shows that the temperature of the roller 231 detected by the temperature detecting means 234 becomes lower than the specified temperature in the fixed time while a 2nd timer is actuated in the case the roller 231 is heated, the temperature of the roller 231 is measured by the temperature detecting means 234 in the specified time by the 1st timer means, and the selection means and the comparison means detect that the temperature of the roller 231 is lower than the specified temperature. |
