PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in fireproof performance of a fireproof wall (floor) in case of a fire by applying heat expandable fireproof paint on the inside face and/or the outside face of a box body main body such as a switch box installed on a double wall structure fireproof wall. CONSTITUTION:An uneven part 10 consisting of a recessed part, 10a and a projection part. 10b is formed on the inside and outside faces of a box main body 9 which is made of a steel plate serving as a switch box and is provided with a box hole 9a, which is formed on one side, for introducing an electric wire. Heat expandable paint 11 is applied on the inside and outside surfaces. Although this application may be carried out so as to fill the whole of the uneven part 10, the application is desirably carried out so as to fill the recessed part. 10a while the projection part, 10b exposed. In case of a fire, the paint 11 is expanded because of heat so as to fill the inside of the box and so as to be converted into a heat insulating layer 12 covering the inside and outside surfaces of the box, and at the same time, a gap between an electric wire 6 and the box hole 9a and a gap between the box body 9 and a fireproof board 1 are sealed, and consequently, high level fireproof performance of the fireproof wall is secured. |
