摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency and melting efficiency and to smooth operation by controlling a scrap charging speed by using an arithmetic system based on the accumulated amt. of the scrap charged into a furnace, the amt. of the melt remaining in the furnace, the temp. of the melt, etc. CONSTITUTION:The arc furnace 1 is provided with a temp. measuring instrument 6, a steel receiving ladle 4 and a weighing device 5. A scrap transporting speed setter 7 is included in a scrap transporting device 2 and a weighing device 8 is included in a lifting magnet 3 for scrap loading. The accumulated amt. of the scrap charged into the arc furnace 1 at arbitrary time is calculated from a relation between the scrap loading amt. to a scrap transporting device 2, the time elapsed after the loading and the scrap transporting speed at each time at the time of operating the furnace by using these devices. The speed of the scrap transporting device 2 is then controlled by the amt. of the molten steel in the arc furnace 1 calculated by the accumulated amt. of the charged scrap and the molten steel temp.</p>
