PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic carrier which is capable of improving rising of the electrostatic charge of toners and hardly generates charge-up under low humidity and leakage of the electrostatic charge under high humidity and with which stable images are obtainable by well electrostatically charging the toners under various environments. CONSTITUTION:The carrier particles of the electrophotographic carrier composed of a carrier core material and carrier particles having silicone resin coating layers to coat this carrier core material have the ratio of the number of atoms of the silicon atoms and carbon atoms existing on the surfaces of the carrier particles by XPs measurement satisfying the following conditions; Si/C=0.1 to 2.0 and the metal atoms exist at 0.1 to 5 number % on the surfaces of the carrier particles. This two-component developer is obtd. by using such carrier. This image forming method has such two-component developer.
