PURPOSE:To provide a navigation device which can be improved in location deciding precision by providing an obstacle detecting means which can detect obstacles or other vehicles and, at the same time, can read location information provided against objects to be detected. CONSTITUTION:The obstacle detector is provided with an obstacle detecting section 10 and a navigation section 30, and the detecting section 10 detects an obstacle by using a laser radar equipment and, at the same time, reads the absolute location information 21 on a location displaying board 20 and sends the positional data obtained from the information 21 to the navigation section 30. The section 30 calculates and displays the current location of its own vehicle and, at the same time, receives the positional data from the detecting section 10 and calibrates a means related to the decision of location in the navigation section 30 by correcting the current location of the vehicle based on the positional data from the detecting section 10. |
