PURPOSE:To provide an immune-enhanced food composed mainly of the fruit body, mycelium and metabolic fluid of an Isaria-type TOCHU-KASO (vegetable worms: Cordyceps japonensis), giving an immune function promoting action by oral administration and useful for the prevention and treatment of various infectious diseases and tumors. CONSTITUTION:This immune-enhanced food exhibiting excellent immune function promoting action independently of the antigen sensitization is produced by using the fruit body (complete generation or incomplete generation), mycelium or metabolic fluid obtained by culturing the mycelium of an Isaria-type TOCHU- KASO such as HANASANAGITAKE (Isaria japonica). The immune activating activity is further promoted by mixing the food with extract of OUGI (root of Astragalus huantchy), beta-carotene, extract of polypore, etc. |
