PURPOSE:To prevent drying from occurring and enable rapid recovering operation by working a drying apparatus by closing a closing means for a storing structure and working an ink head recovering apparatus by releasing the closing means. CONSTITUTION:A protector hood 1c makes the length of a projection shorter than the length of an ink ejecting part 2a in an ink head cartridge 2. When a scanner head cartridge 1 is stored, it is at a position being apart from an elastic member 5 and as a sensor lens 1a and an illuminator 1b are not brought into contact with any article, there exist no possibility of contaminating a light path. As the sensor lens 1a and the illuminator 1b are insulated from waste and dust by closing a lid 3, the scanner head cartridge 1 or an ink head cartridge 2 being not used can be stored under a good condition for a long time. Clogging and sticking of the ink in the ink ejecting part caused by drying of the ink head cartridge 2 while it is not used can be prevented from occurring. |
