PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension precision and simplify the welding by constituting a gas generator from a housing body, bottomed cylinder part, flange part, and an outer cylinder part, and forming a combustion chamber from the bottomed cylinder part and a covering member and forming an air-charged chamber by fixing the outside cylinder part of the housing body on the outer cylinder part. CONSTITUTION:A housing body 65 is formed of a bottomed cylinder part 75 consisting of a bottom surface part 71 and a cylinder part 73, flange part 77, outer cylinder part 79, and an installation part 81. Further, a covering member 69 consists of an outside surface part 83 covering the bottom surface part 71 by the spot welding W3 and an outside cylinder part 85. The outside cylinder part 85 of the covering member 69 is fixed on the inner periphery of the outer cylinder part 79 of the housing body 65 through welding W1, and an air-charged chamber 57 is formed. Further, a combustion chamber 41 has a covering member 67 at the opened port part of the bottomed cylinder part 75 through welding W2. Accordingly, the necessity of fitting the covering member 69 with the cylinder part 73 of the housing body 65 is obviated, and the dimension precision can be reduced. |
