PURPOSE: To provide a method and machine for manufacturing of gears capable of easily manufacturing the gears with the low cost. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a process for rotating a gear 2 to be machined about a first rotary shaft 14, a process for positioning a disc tool relative to the gear 2 so that a cutting part around the disc tool 32 is engaged with teeth of a pinion, and a process for rotating the disc tool 32 about a rotary shaft 35a. Further it comprises a process for relatively moving the disc tool 32 and the gear 2 to be machined along a line of action, and a process for inclining the disc tool 32 on a second rotary shaft for changing the inclination to the gear 2. The rotation of the gear 2 about the first rotary shaft 14, the inclination of the disc tool 32 about the second rotary shaft and the relative movement of the disc tool 32 and the gear 2 to be machined along a line of action are synchronously executed. |
