PURPOSE: To provide a bearing cap for a power take-off unit which is adapted to various kinds of fitting flange structures and has relatively high flexibility in adjusting the position of a driven accessory for the bearing cap and the power take-off unit. CONSTITUTION: A body having a relatively large central opening 22 formed therethrough is provided, and a first plurality of apertures 25 are formed through the body of a bearing cap 20 to be used for a power take-off unit about the periphery of the body. The bearing cap is fostered to a housing of a power take-off unit Certain types of driven accessory mounting flanges are secured to the bearing cap. A second plurality of apertures 27 are also formed through the body of the bearing cap. The second apertures are provided for securing the mounting flange adapters to the bearing cap, and different types of driven accessory mounting flanges are mounted on the bearing cap.
