PURPOSE:To prevent looseness of a column tube by press-fitting a collar, having movability in a right angle direction to an axial line of the column tube further to permit tilting the column tube moved in a vertical direction, to a clearance between an annular part and the column tube. CONSTITUTION:In both end parts of a front bracket 20, a fixed part 21 fixedly fastened by a bolt 23 to a pedal bracket 7 is formed, and in the central part, a cylindrical annular part 22 is integrally formed. In a clearance between this annular part 22 and a column tube 4, a collar 30, having movability in a right angle direction to an axial line of the column tube 4 further to permit tilting the column tube 4 in a vertical direction, is press fitted. In a front side edge of this collar 30, a pair of outward facing pawl pieces 35 are formed, and these pawl pieces 35 are engaged with a front side edge of the annular part 22, to prevent the collar 30 from coming off. In this way, looseness of the column tube 4 can be sufficiently absorbed, and the column tube 4 can be easily tilted. |
