PURPOSE:To provide a photoelectric conversion element that allows a shape and size to be freely set and enables the reduction of manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric conversion element consists of a non-conductive substrate 1; two electrodes 2 and 3 formed on the same surface of the substrate at a specified interval; and a photoconductive charge generating film 4 that is in tight contact with the electrodes and is formed on the same surface of the substrate as the electrodes are.
