PURPOSE:To display only a cellular image to be a classifying object, and to confirm accurately, by cutting off a particle image from an original image according to the form of the particle. CONSTITUTION:A sample poured 2 and colored by a coloring solution 3 in a coloring jar 6 flows stably in the center of a flow cell 7. A particle detecting device 12 to observe the particle passage in the sample decides that it is an image processed particle when a particle detected signal is at a specific level, and a flush lamp 8 is lighted when the particle reaches to a specific position of a high sensitive TV camera 13. This pulse beams are focused on the sample, and a still image obtained by the camera 13 is digitalized 14 and memorized 15. The characteristic amounts such as the area and the coordinates data of the particle are calculated from the image data, so as to calculate the cutting off area of the particles.
