DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT OF ROLL SET TO ROLL SUPPORT STAND AND ITS DETACHMENT THEREFROM

PURPOSE: To provide a device for positioning and fixing an attaching member on a roll journal when a roll set is attached and detached to and from a roll supporting pedestal. CONSTITUTION: A stop member 14 movable parallel to a roll axis 13 and a clamping member 21 radially acting on the outside surface 34 of a roll journal 8 relative to the roll axis are housed in a housing 12 detachably fixed to the outside of an attaching member. The attaching member is positioned by the stop member to the center of a roll on the journal in an advance position 15" wherein the stop member bumps against the shoulder part 32 of the roll journal and is held in a retreated position 15' by a restoring member 18 when the roll is operated and the roll is detached. When a roll set is attached and detached, the attaching member is fixed by the clamping member to the roll journal by advancing a clamping block 20 with a hydraulic cylinder 25. When the roll is operated, the clamping member is held in an aerial position wherein the roll journal is made free toy a restoring member 30 and leaf spring 24.
