PURPOSE:To reproduce a desired waveform and a scale on the basis of sound source data and to lower the operation frequency by optionally switching over the address of a sound source data storage means in the time-base direction with the control signal of a control circuit and reading out sound source data. CONSTITUTION:The digital sound source generating device has a control circuit 100, a sound source data storage means 103, an address data storage means 101 which stores the address data of the sound source data storage means 103, a latch circuit 102 which temporarily stores the address data, a D/A converting circuit 104, a filter circuit 105, and a sounding body driving circuit 106. Consequently, the sound source data can be read out by optionally switching over the address of the sound source data storage means 103 in the time-base direction with the control signal of the control circuit 100. Therefore, a waveform written in the sound source data storage means 103 can be reproduced and even different scales can be reproduced by changing the order of address specification. |
