PURPOSE:To secure the break-away function which suppresses the increase of the number of constitution parts, regulates the development angle of a cover member when the air bag expands and permits the closure of the cover member when the air bag does not expand and the release of the closure of a cover member when the air bag expands. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device is equipped with a case 2 for accommodating a folded air bag 1, cover member 10 which is connected with the opened port part 2a of the case 2 through a hinge part 12 and is opened when the air bag expands, belt 19 which is connected with the case 2 and the cover member 10 and regulates the development angle of the cover member when the air bag expands. The belt 19 is folded by the breakage enabled seaming thread 23, and the opened port part 2a is closed by the cover member 10. |
