PURPOSE:To improve hardening accuracy and the durability of an optical system. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 10 emitted from an optical fiber 11 is paralleled by a collimating lens 37 and is deviated from the optical axis by a polarizing prism 38. Bisected arc-shaped heating sections 10c, 10d having the intensity biased to one side in the state of condensing the laser beam 10 by a bi-local plane mirror 40 are formed. These bisected arc-shaped heating sections 10c, 10d are rotated around the optical axis by a driving motor 47, by which an annular hardening section (d) is formed. This annular hardening section is moved in an optical axis direction by a moving mechanism. |
