A pilot signal eliminating circuit for eliminating pilot signals from chrominance signals as part of video signals recorded on a magnetic recording medium. The pilot signals have different frequencies from one track to another neighboring track on the magnetic recording medium, and are previously superimposed on the chrominance signals, which in turn are previously changed to a lower frequency range.
