摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To decide the optimum transmission method selecting direct or forward communication of an access point for each transmission by relaying a signal received by a reception means when a reception reply detection means does not detect a reply from a reception station. CONSTITUTION:A relay station receives control information of a transmission terminal equipment at a reception means and starts a timer. When no reply comes even lapse of a prescribed time interval, then expiration of the timer of the relay station is detected and the processing takes over by a substitute reply means. The control information 62 is returned by the substitute reply processing in place of a corresponding terminal equipment. After the reception of a reply representing the available connection of the line, the transmission terminal equipment sends data 612. Upon the receipt of the data, the relay station returns an acknowledge 64. Then the relay processing is started. Then control information 65 representing the same meaning as that sent by the transmission terminal equipment is sent to check the connection capability of the line. Upon the receipt of a reply 66 from a corresponding terminal equipment, the relay station sends received data 63 to the corresponding terminal equipment as data 67. Upon the receipt of the data, the corresponding terminal equipment returns an acknowledge 68 and then the relay processing is finished and also the entire processing operation is finished.</p>
