PURPOSE:To provide a bumper for an automobile having a reinforcing structure generating no surge caused by molding on the surface (decorative design face) of a main body and having an excellent external appearance without using a separate reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal rib 4 is protruded from the projection 3 of the main body 1 of a bumper for an automobile constituted of the main body 1 and a hood section 2 above the main body 1, and the horizontal rib 4 is extended in the lateral width direction. A vertical rib 5 isolated from the main body 1 on the surrounding is protruded upward from the upper face of the horizontal rib 4 in the vertical direction, and a slight gap is provided between the top 5a of the vertical rib 5 and the inner wall face of the hood section 2. |
