PURPOSE:To provide an image recording material capable of utilizing a conventional processor or printer and good in recording properties and printing durability enabled in direct plate making from the digital data of a computer or the like. CONSTITUTION:A binder, a substance absorbing light to generate heat and a substance thermally decomposable but substantially lowering the solubility of the binder in an undecomposed state are contained in an image recording material.
