PURPOSE:To reconcile proper reflection to external light and proper reflection of light of a back face inside light source, facilitate manufacture, and improve image contrast by containing pearl pigment in a semitransmissive semireflective layer. CONSTITUTION:In a semitransmissive semireflector 1 composed of a support body 10 having cavity parts 13 inside and a semitransmissive semireflective layer 11 which is arranged on one surface of this support body 10 and is mainly composed of a light transmissive material, pearl pigment 12 is contained in the semitransmissive semireflective layer 11. Since a characteristic of reflecting light from an external part is mainly required of the semitransmissive semireflective layer 11 containing this light transmissive resin and the pearl pigment 12, it is desirable that the pearl pigment 12 is uniformly dispersed in the light transmissive resin. The pearl pigment 12 is formed by covering a surface of a thin plate like mica particle with titanium dioxide. Thereby, since the semitransmissive semireflective layer 11 is a semitransmissive semireflector containing the pearl pigment 12, light incident on the semitransmissive semireflective layer 11 is reflected by the pearl pigment 12, and excellent image contrast can be obtained. |
