TABLET INSPECTION DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH IMAGE RECOGNITION MEANS AND TABLET INSPECTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To accurately detect the number of translucent tablets in a medicine bag. CONSTITUTION:An image recognition processor is equipped with a general tablet recognition processing part 5 which detects the number of general tablets and a translucent tablet recognition processing part 6 which detects the number of translucent tablets. The translucent tablet detection processing part 6 inputs two threshold values as limits of a density distribution of translucent tablets, and counts the translucent tablets by performing reduction and enlargement processing and removing noises similarly to the general tablet recognition processing part after detecting only pixels of the translucent tablets, and then performing image processing. Quantity data on the tablets are added by an arithmetic control circuit 7 to quantity data from the general tablet recognition processing part 5.
