The tricycle has a conventional chassis (1) with saddle column (3), inclined crossbar (4) and steering assembly (8). The two rear wheels are mounted behind the saddle column, and their axle support structure includes a curved load-supporting bar (36), from which an upright tube (29) extends.An adjustable shaft (31) is telescopically slidable within the upright tube, and carries a bracket (32) at its upper end including a pair of elastic load grips (37). The inclined crossbar may be articulated to the rear section of the chassis by means of a lockable joint. A brake mechanism on the front wheel is actuated by handles (45,46) on the handlebars, at least one of which is lockable in a required position.
