<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for measuring a high current. CONSTITUTION:The current measuring system comprises a pair of optical units 1, and a lead glass optical fiber 3 forming an optical path around a conductor 2 passing a current to be measured. The lead glass optical fiber 3 comprises a pair of first and second optical fibers 3a, 3b split at positions on the opposite sides of the conductor 2 and each optical fiber 3a, 3b is provided with a reflection means 4 on the peripheral end side. The first and second optical fibers 3a, 3b are arranged such that one incident end intersects the other reflective end on a plane and an optical unit 1 is disposed closely to the intersection. The lead glass optical fiber 3 is split such that the linearly polarized lights propagating through the optical fibers 3a, 3b are subjected to Farady's rotational angle within 45 deg. by the current to be measured.</p> |
