<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability by simplify the stopping process of the system and powering ON and OFF the system totally at a place distant from a UNIX machine. CONSTITUTION:When a switch for powering OFF the system is operated at a power source switching part 7 on an UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) unit which has a power source switching device 7 for switching the power supply states of UNIX machines 1... and are connected to the UNIX machines 1... through a network 2, a stop program which stops the UNIX machines 1... through the network is started on the CPU 4 in the UPS device 3. Then when it is confirmed that all the UNIX machines 1... are stopped, the power source switching part 7 turns OFF the power supply to the system.</p> |
