PURPOSE:To retard the heat transmission to the lower part of an apparatus and reduce the thermal influence upon other components provided in the lower part by a method wherein main circuit devices and their cooling unit are provided in the upper part of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Main circuit devices 4 are heat generating sources and their allowable temperature is 100 deg.C or higher. By provideing the main circuit devices 4 Which are the heat generating sources in the upper part of a case 10, the heat transmission to the lower part is retarded. A control circuit 5 and an electrolytic capacitor 7 whose allowable temperatures are lower than that of the main circuit device are provided in the lower part of the case 10. As the heat transmission from the heat generating sources is retarded, the thermal influence upon those components can be suppressed. Especially, if an inverter apparatus is used on a vehicle, a continuous rating which is usually specified in a general industry application is not specified but rather a one-hour rating at the longest is specified. As the internal temperature of the apparatus is not saturated in one hour, the retarded heat transmission can reduce the influence of the heat upon the other components. |
