PURPOSE:To enhance the moldability, the sealing ability and the workability for attachment by molding a seal lip made of an elastic material, on the sliding side peripheral edge part of a reinforcing ring made of metal or the like, and by bonding a bearing attaching part to a stationary side peripheral edge part thereof through the intermediary of an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A seal lip 3 made of an elastic material is molded on a sliding side peripheral edge part of a reinforcing ring 2 which has been formed in a desired shape from a metal or the like by die-stamping, an adhesive 4 is interposed between a stationary side peripheral edge part of the reinforcing ring 2 and an attaching part of a bearing 1 so as to secure the ring onto the bearing 1, thereby the manufacture of a bearing seal is completed. The seal lip 3 is molded from a material which is excellent in the slidability and seal ability, such as synthetic rubber or synthetic resin. An epoxy resin group adhesive, a phenol group adhesive or the like may be used as the adhesive 4, and further, an adhesive similar to that is used for securing the seal lip 3 to the reinforcing ring 2. Thereby it is possible to exhibit a high sealability and a high fixing ability. |
