PURPOSE:To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic battery having good cycle performance, low cost, and long life, and provide its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous electrolytic battery has a positive electrode 11 capable of absorbing/desorbing lithium, a negative electrode 12 comprising at least one of metallic lithium, a lithium alloy, a substance or conductor capable of absorbing/desorbing lithium, a separator 13, a nonaqueous electrolyte 14, and a battery container 15, and contains hydrogen fluoride of 3100ppm or less. The nonaqueous electrolyte 14 preferably contains a supporting electrolyte capable of producing hydrogen fluoride by decomposition. For example, LiPF6, LiBF4, LiAsF6, or LiCF3SO3 is used. When a nonaqueous electrolyte battery l is manufactured, moisture is added to the inside of the battery 1 before the battery 1 is assembled. |
