METHOD FOR ESTIMATING COST OF METAL PLATE PRODUCT AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To easily and accurately perform processings from the extraction of working elements to final cost calculation by selecting the working process of a metal plate product based on the cross-sectional shape of the metal plate product recognized by cross-sectional shape data based on drawing information and calculating the cost required for estimation accompanying the work processes. CONSTITUTION:Whether the work is to be performed by manufacturing an exclusive die (exclusive work) or by a general working machine such as a turret punch (general work) at the time of working the product, is judged. Then, in the case of judging as the general work, general work information is inputted through an input device 1 and a CAD part 5. In the case of judging as the exclusive work, a cross-sectional shapes is classified based on the shape of the metal plate product and the working process of the metal plate product is selected based on it. In this case, a designer can estimate the manufacture cost of the metal plate product during design by using the CAD part 5 and all the drawing information required for the estimation can be automatically taken out from the drawing information inside the CAD part 5.
