PURPOSE:To reduce the number of insertion processes, realize cost reduction and enhance insertion work by providing an insulative housing with an insertion space for a specific flexible flat cable, a locking member thereof and a plurality of contact pieces. CONSTITUTION:In order to connect a flexible flat cable (FPC) 1 to a connector 6, first, the FPC 1 in which a reinforcing board 2 is integratedly bonded and fixed to a top surface thereof is obliquely inserted from an opening 12 to an insertion space 7 and turned downward with its tip as a fulcrum. When the board 2 gets over a first slant part 11b and a curvature part 11d of a locking member 11, the member 11 is displaced outward and returned inward at turning completion to press and hold the board 2 with its second slant part 11c. On the other hand, a free end 10a of a contact piece 10 is displaced in a groove part 9 due to turning of the FPC 1 and restored after insertion completion to be in contact with a circuit element of the FPC 1. Accordingly, a zero insertion force structure can be attained without a slider. |
