PURPOSE:To prevent injury of the lip of an oil seal mounted on the shaft of a device such as mainly the transmission or the differential device of an automobile at assembling. CONSTITUTION:The inner circumferential face of the lip 4 of an oil seal 1 is covered with a flexible injury preventing cover body 7, one end of the cover body 7 is lightly stuck on a position outside the oil seal 1, and after mounting the oil seal 1 through the spline part 10 of the shaft 9 of a device, the cover body 7 is drawn out. |
